Carlow Senior Hurling defender Michael Doyle says it’s difficult to explain why they haven’t performed as well as they are capable of throughout the National League in which they relegated to Division 2 following yesterday’s defeat.

Speaking after the game, Michael says they didn’t to themselves justice in yesterday’s defeat to Westmeath.

He says “I suppose kind of we haven’t really been hurling throughout the League and I think today now, we just didn’t really do ourselves justice, I think we continued the pattern, I don’t know what is going wrong kind of this year just I don’t think we have been firing the way we were in the last couple of years and it’s very very disappointing to be going down like, we really really wanted to stay up and clearly disappointed after today”.
