Carlow Senior Hurling manager Colm Bonnar says they will be extremely aware of the challenge that Mayo are going to provide in Saturday’s Christy Ring Cup clash.

Carlow lost out by a single point after extra time in their opening round game last weekend against Antrim.

Speaking to KCLR, Colm says that Kildare were very lucky to defeat Mayo last weekend….

“Kildare has a very tough win against Mayo who are our next opponents and they were lucky to come out of it by a point from what I hear and Mayo had a man sent-off early in the second-half so you can’t underestimate the challenge that is ahead of us, and we can only look at one game in the process”

“But yeah Kildare have kind of put their hand up this year and they are looking to win this Christy Ring so look there is nothing much in it and Mayo are the Nicky Rackard Champions from last year and they are bursting a gut to try and improve and get to that final”
