Carlow Senior Hurling manager Pat English refused to confirm as to whether the players and management were a united bunch throughout the year.

He was speaking to KCLR after the end of Carlow’s Championship campaign on Sunday with a defeat to Westmeath.

Brendan Hennessy asked Pat did he believe everyone in the team is pulling together this year as there have been suggestions in the public that they weren’t….

“Well I enlisted so I have to soldier, and as I say we have sit down and look at it, im not going to answer your question cause that’s a very loaded question”

“People have to look at themselves, I look at myself and the management team look at themselves and see”

“I think people out there know the questions, know the answers, so we have to look at the answers and change it if there is something and look forward to next year”

“Players are going back to their clubs, but they have to keep their standard up of they want to get through to come back again next year better players”
