Carlow Senior Hurling Manager Colm Bonnar says Carlow could replicate Laois’s victory over Dublin last Sunday if they were given at least another year to compete among Leinster’s elites.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of this Sunday’s All-Ireland Quarter-Final, Colm says that Carlow would definitely improve if they system allowed them to compete in the Leinster Championship next year.

He said “It doesn’t help them going back down to the very competitive competition, but it doesn’t help their transition to progress in to be a top elite Inter County hurler because to get another year at that level would undoubtedly bring them on again at another notch or two and who is to say that what Laois done last Sunday that Carlow couldn’t do if they were allowed up there another year or two”.
