All Carlow LGFA action has been suspended this weekend as a mark of respect to Kathleen Mullins who passed away earlier this week.
There will be no matches or training sessions on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Carlow LGFA issued the following statement to confirm the news on Wednesday evening:
“As a mark of respect to the Mullins family on the passing of Kathleen, there will be no Carlow LGFA training or matches this weekend; Saturday, Sunday or Monday,” the statement read.
Kathleen Mullins was Carlow LGFA president and former county chairwoman and was renowned for her work both within and outside of the county to promote Ladies’ Gaelic football.
She was a founding member of 2021 county champions Bennekerry/Tinryland with the club aptly stating that “her legacy will remain in our club forever.”
