Carlow man Stan Brennan wins the sell out Dublin Open FootGolf tournament

Carlow man Stan Brennan took the opening event of the National FootGolf tour at the weekend with victory in the Dublin Open.

The local man was representing Pococke Golf Centre in Kilkenny in the pro category while Dean Carroll was representing the club in the amateur competition.

Stan finished in the top spot with 21 points while Dean was also tied for first place in the amateur category, only to get second place in the countback.

This was the first footgolf competition to completely fill up with entries and the next stage of the National Tour takes place in Barry Hamill – Brackaville Footgolf on Sunday, May 30th.

Pococke will host a round of the Irish tour on the 4th of July and the inaugural Four Nations FootGolf tournament in August.

2nd Place – Stephen Sawyer -19
3rd Place – Ronan Lynagh -18

Amateur Category:
1st Place – Shane Smullen -13
2nd Place – Dean Carroll -13
3rd Place – Paulo Di Adamo -12

1st Place – Joe Donoghue – 17
2nd Place – John Cleary – E
3rd Place – John Callinan – E

Junior Category:
