Carlow Minor Hurling Championship reaches halfway point & Junior Football Championships starts

In the minor hurling championship Mt Leinster Rngs, Naomh Eoin and Erins Own had big wins over Burren Rngs, Naomh Brid and Carlow Town respectively, while Ballinkillen had four points to spare over St. Mullins.

Halfway through the league part of the championship Mt. Leinster Rngs are undefeated and are on eight points from four games, Ballinkillen are in second place on six points, Naomh Brid are on four points from four games.

Naomh Eoin and Erins Own are also on four points from three games, they still have to play each other.

Results
Erins Own 6-19, Carlow Town 3-4.
Mt. Leinster Rngs 2-16, Burren Rngs 0-9.
Naomh Eoin 8-22, Naomh Brid 0-6.
Ballinkillen 1-16, St. Mullins 1-12.

Fixtures
The junior football Championship begins this evening.

Palatine v Rathvilly is in Bro Leo Park at 7-30pm
Leighlinbridge v St. Andrews in Netwatch Training Centre is at 7-30pm.
St. Patricks v Tinryland is now in McGrath Park and not Palatine.

The game between Ballon and Eire Og is off as a mark of respect to the late Pat Byrne of Castlegrace and will be played on Thursday evening.
