Naomh Eoin Myshall 4-12

Conahy Shamrocks 3-10

Naomh Eoin Myshall have defeated Conahy Shamrocks in the 2020 Leinster Intermediate Camogie Championship.

The game was finally being played following the delay to the 2020 provincial championships due to the Covid-19 pandemic and both sides showed no lack of hunger on a cold afternoon in Myshall.

There were goals in abundance for the spectators attending in the opening stages as the home side led by seven points at the first half water break, 3-07 to 2-03.

Form that point onwards, the 2020 Carlow champions dominated and four unanswered points before half-time extended their lead at the interval to ten points, 3-11 to 2-04.

To their credit, Conahy Shamrocks refused to accept defeat and although a second half goal was quickly cancelled out by a fourth goal by the Carlow side, a string of consecutive points meant that they had cut the deficit to five points with seven minutes remaining, 4-11 to 3-09.

However, they could not get to within a score of a well-organised Naomh Eoin Myshall team whose strong start was absolutely pivotal in helping them advance to the next round.
