Carlow are All Ireland Minor Camogie Champions.

They beat Roscommon by 4-10 to 12 points at Kinnegad today.

The local side led from almost the entire game and the result further echoes the development of the game within the county.

Meanwhile Kilkenny will look to get back into another Senior Division 1 League Final tomorrow.

They take on Galway at 4pm in Semple Stadium.

The winner of that game will face either Cork or Limerick.

HURLING

Kilkenny got off to a flying start in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship today.

They beat Westmeath by 3-22 to 4 points at Cusack Park Mullingar.

Carlow fell at the first hurdle however in their clash with Kildare at Newbridge.

The Lilywhites won on a scoreline of 3-17 to 1-15, and their was drama after the final whistle when a melee resulted in two players from each side being sent off.
