One Carlow club Hurling Manager has called for a change of rule in the County Intermediate Championship this year.
Carlow Town Hurling Club mentor Joe Fanning feels its unfair that the second team clubs can play first team players up until the semi final stages of the championship.
Speaking to KCLR, Joe says things need to be looked at again.
“It’s a bit of a mess this year. Senior Clubs are allowed play Senior Players up until Semi-Final stage.
“This was a great competition for years, any team on it’s day could beat one another, but this year like Senior Clubs can play Senior players up till Semi-Final stage so we don’t really know where we are at.
“Bagenalstown would be in the same position as ourselves because this is our top team so this will probably show where we are really,” he said.
The game takes place at the Netwatch Training Centre in Fenagh this evening at 7.45
