Carlow U20 football championship gets semi-final dates set for Christmas week

The draws for the semi-final stages of the Carlow U20 football championships have been made, with all games due to be played before the year is out.

The semi-final draw for the Carlow U20 ‘A’ football championship has been made.

With Clonmore handing Bagenalstown Gaels a walkover on Tuesday, the final four teams were outlined with Bagenalstown joining Mount Leinster Rangers, Rathvilly and Éire Óg in the penultimate round of the competition.

Now, we know who’s playing who and when with the semi-finals pencilled in this side of the new year.

U20 B

In the A championship, Rathvilly take on Mount Leinster Rangers while Éire Óg have been paired with Bagenalstown Gaels. In a slight change to the above detail, both games will be underway at the same time in the Netwatch Training Centre in Fenagh on Friday 30 December.

With Naomh Eoin already through to the B championship final, Michael Davitts and Askea finally get to run off their semi-final fixture on Thursday 29 December with a 7.30pm start in Fenagh.

It is expected that the finals will take place in the first week of January.
