Carlow hurler Sean Whelan says surviving in the Leinster Championship is not what they’re about, they want to be competitive.
He was speaking ahead of todays Leinster Championship clash against Galway in Pearse Stadium.
Sean says they have worked hard over the past few years to get to where they are and want to stay there, citing the wins in the Christy Ring Cup and the Joe McDonagh competitions as Carlow fought to get back to Division One.
Carlow drew with Galway in the National Hurling League and kept their place in Division 1.
We have live commentary of the game here on KCLR with thanks to Ray Whelan Waste Disposal from 3pm.
