There’s great news and excitement in the Carlow camogie camp this morning as Kate Nolan has been nominated for this year’s Junior Camogie Association/WGPA Players’ Player of the Year award. With this year’s awards sponsored by Liberty Insurance, Kate also finds herself in the running alongside Sarah Ann Fitzgerald of Laois and Kelley Hopkins of Roscommon. We’ll find out on Saturday next, 7 November, if there’s another camogie honour going to Carlow this year.

The Players’ Player of the Year Awards will honour the outstanding achievement of an individual player in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior championships.
Players who are members of an inter-county panel, participating in this year’s Championship will now be invited to vote on their Player of the Year based on the final shortlists. Players are requested to submit their vote online or by e-mail to the WGPA before Monday November 2nd at 5pm, with the overall recipients announced on the night of the Camogie All-Stars Awards on November 7th.

Carlow Camogie will also have their presentation of All-Ireland, Leinster and National League medals along with their Volunteer of the Year awards at the Lord Bagenal, Leighlinbridge on Friday 13 November.
