Carrickshock Senior manager TJ Connolly says he wouldn’t be worried about their over-dependence on scores by Kevin Farrell in their defeat to Mullinavat on Sunday.

Carrickshock play James Stephens in a must win game on Saturday evening, and speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s match, TJ says they are working hard.

“We are getting frees, that means that we are working hard enough to get into that position and boys are working the ball into that position.

“Kevin was keeping us in with frees, but you don’t get frees unless your been fouled and your working hard enough to get in there and that’s what teams are doing.

“I am not saying Mullinavat are cynical but that’s just the nature of the game so if Kevin was keeping us in the game with frees, we were obviously working hard to get them.

“We have to go all out and try to win next Saturday evening as the Village will be trying to win again, so they will be anxious to put 4 points on the board, but if we can get the bodies back, and it’s a short turnaround, we will hopefully get something out of the game,” he said.
