It wasn’t to be for Evergreen FC as they lost 2-nil yesterday at the Aviva against Sheriff YC in the FAI Junior Cup Final.
After going behind before half time to a Stephen Murphy free kick, Packie Holden’s charges dominated possession in the second half but just couldn’t find an equaliser.
Sheriff then scored a second goal via Captain Paul Murphy on the counter attack to give them their 4th title in 6 years.
