Local man Patrick Mullins says his Dad Willie is well equipped to end his Champion Chase or Gold Cup hoodoo having never won Cheltenham’s two biggest chase races.
Speaking ahead of next weeks Festival, Patrick says there is plenty of ability for both races.
“It’s huge I mean obviously my Grandfather(Paddy Mullins) won the Gold Cup with Dawn Run in 1986 so it would be fantastic for him to be able to emulate the boss and I think we have got a good team this year.
“Killultagh Vic, Total Recall, Djakadam, Bacchason, they are all horses that have a lot of ability and the Champion Chase, Min obviously has been very exciting and Douvan is on track and if we can get him there in one piece, it would be hugely exciting,” said Patrick.
