Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler Aidan Fogarty says that Kilkenny’s Round Two National League clash in Ennis on Sunday will be a totally different environment from what they faced last Sunday when they defeated Cork.

Clare will be missing Tony Kelly for the game after the GAA upheld his red card.

He was sent off against Tipperary last week and Clare had their appeal rejected.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s game, Aidan says it will be a huge test for the youngsters.

He said “Brian Cody will probably be looking for consistency now out of this team. How will these guys fare in that kind of environment playing against maybe the John Conlon’s, (Donal) McInerney, these guys are tough guys”.

“I remember going down there before and you are going to get hits off the ball, you are going to get knocks, they are going to be in your face and I suppose that’s where the new guys will find out whether they can stand up to the plate”. said Aidan.

“It’s going to be a total different game, I think Clare are going to come with a big intensity, with a real drive to win and it’s going to be on home soil so a great game for Kilkenny to get and it’s going to be a great prospect”.

We have live commentary of the game on air and online with thanks to Laharts Kilkenny.
