With the clock ticking down to the end of the year, it’s time to get nominations in for this year’s overall club of the year as part of the David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Awards.

Opened last week, nominations are now being sought for Kilkenny’s Club of the Year – any sport, any club. We’ve seen plenty of nominations on the hurling front for the likes of Ballyhale Shamrocks, Danesfort and Blacks & Whites off the back of successes in the Kilkenny club championship this year.

Similarly, James Stephens, Thomastown and Carrickshock have all had stellar years on the camogie front. John Lockes, Kilkenny City Harriers, Kilkenny Rugby Club, O’Loughlin Gaels, Paulstown Boxing Club, Marble City Boxing Club and more also find themselves in the running at this stage of proceedings.

We’d like to hear from you about your club, after all, if you’re not in, you can’t win.

Like Santa Claus last week, we’ll be making a list and checking it twice once January comes, announcing the overall Club of the Year for 2022 on Monday 9 January.

Get your nominations in below and tell us a little about why you’re nominating your chosen club. Nominations close on 31 December, 11.59pm.
