It’s a big weekend for the Carlow senior footballers as they begin their Allianz National Football League campaign.

The Barrowsiders opener in Division 4 pits them against neighbours Wicklow on Saturday evening at 7pm in Netwatch Cullen Park (Live on KCLR).

Before that, we’ll be hearing the thoughts of Carlow manager Niall Carew and the county’s captain Darragh Foley on KCLR this weekend.

Carew will be on Scoreline this Friday from 6.10pm as he sets out his side’s goals for 2023.

Then at 5pm on Saturday, Kilbride clubman Foley will look ahead to an imperative game in their hopes of gaining promotion.

At 7pm, we’ll be going across to Netwatch Cullen Park for full live commentary with Robbie Dowling and Carlow and Eire Og legend Willie Quinlan.

Carlow come into this game on the back of two consecutive defeats to Meath and Louth in the O’Byrne Cup as they afforded opportunities to several players ahead of the league.

If you can’t get to the game, KCLR is the only place where you can hear all of Carlow’s Allianz National Football League and Leinster championship games in 2023.
