County Carlow will sit top of the Leinster League Division 2A over Christmas after beating Railway Union at the weekend.
They are unbeaten so far and are into Towns Cup action in January.
President Ian Dwyer won a few Towns Cups with Carlow and says their opening match against Gorey will be tough…..
“As president it as great to be there at the draw on Saturday, there was great excitement, we were the very last ball out of the hat so we hadn’t a clue which way it was going till the very end and there was only two clubs left.
“Carlow and Gorey, and they were the first ball out at the end so they got home advantage so we have Gorey away in January which is going to be a tough draw”
“They’re in Division one of the Leinster League and they are doing well against tough opposition, the likes of Enniscorthy Wicklow, Ashbourne etc so its going to be a tough draw”
