“You can’t really get much better than that”, says Crettyard’s Aisling Behan after helping her side to the treble in Carlow last season.

With more goals than most Premier League strikers combined last season, Behan “had a path worn to the stage” at this year’s Carlow Soccer Awards in representing Crettyard on the night.

“We had a great year last year but to do the same again is going to be difficult this year as everyone is going to want to obviously try and be out to beat us but hopefully we can push on and retain the title that we have at the minute”, says clubmate Sarah Purcell.

We caught up with Aisling and Sarah at the recent launch of the Carlow Soccer League season in the Seven Oaks to find out what they’re planning for the run of the season ahead. Watch the video above for all the details and keep an eye on the Fanzone right across the season for updates, interviews, profiles and reports from the league.
