The dates, times and venues for Kilkenny’s final round tie in the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship and their opening fixture in the O’Neills Leinster U20 Hurling Championship have been revealed.
It will be a busy Easter weekend for fans of the Cats with the county’s minor side, U20 outfit and senior team all in action across separate days.
On April 7th, there will be a 5pm throw-in time for Kilkenny’s last game in the group phase of the Leinster Minor Championship as Niall Bergin’s side welcome Galway to UPMC Nowlan Park on Good Friday.
A victory for the hosts could see them advance to the semi-final of the provincial championship.
The following day sees Mark Dowling’s U20 side begin their Leinster U20 Championship campaign when they travel to Chadwicks Wexford Park to face Wexford at 2pm on April 8th.
Easter Sunday brings with it a repeat of last year’s senior All-Ireland final as Derek Lyng brings his Kilkenny side to Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the Division 1 decider against Limerick on April 9th with that game beginning at 2pm.
Before all of that, you can hear full live commentary of Kilkenny’s second round minor clash against Antrim on KCLR from 1.15pm on Saturday while there’s also an exclusive interview with Kildare manager and former Cats goalkeeper David Herity from 4pm.
