Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says that Division 3 of the National League will go right down to the wire.
Turlough is expecting results in the League to go against the odds.
Speaking to KCLR recently ahead of their League opener on Sunday at home to Sligo, he said “From our perspective coming up in Division four after so long down there, our first aim will be to stay up in Division 3. I think it’s really important for Carlow Football that we can do that”.
“If we off to a good start momentum can carry us forward and because teams know each other so well and I don’t think there is a huge gap between any of the teams that we are going to see teams taking off points off each other and promotion and relegation in this Division I think is going to go down to the last round of the League”.
Turlough said “It’s going to be a very competitive League, we are going to have some great games in it, I think their are going to be upsets along the way and I think the teams that can manage those upsets and still keep on track will be in contention at the League”.
