As radio moments go for sport, the opportunity to run The Drive For Liam Radio Quiz is one of our favourites around All-Ireland time.

Behind the scenes, it’s great craic watching it all come together – running the biggest table quiz in quite possibily all of the land – but it’s in the bars, club houses, homes and hotels around the counties and country where the real fun happens.

This year, with Kilkenny contesting the 2016 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final against Tipperary, we’re delighted to be able to work with Kilkenny GAA once more for the Drive For Liam Radio Quiz, this year taking place on Thursday next, August 25th.

Registration will begin shortly at GAA clubs around Kilkenny, with supporters groups outside of the Kilkenny also hosting events where all questions on the night are broadcast on a three hour special on Thursday night. A list of all participating venues will be available in the coming days.

KCLR’s resident quizmaster John Walsh of KCLR Breakfast will be calling the shots on air and this year we’ll have extra prizes in play for those listening at home who can’t get out to take part in the quiz.

Prizes in recent years have included group tickets, hotel stays and access to the post All-Ireland banquet, along with further prizes of tickets, holidays and much more.

Stay tuned to KCLR for full details over the coming days and check back on the Fanzone for a list of participating venues near you.
