Kilkenny Camogie Children’s Welfare Officer Lillian Holohan says the Drug, Alcohol and Addiction Abuse talk this evening (Friday) in Nowlan Park is something that should be addressed as there is no health and wellbeing section in Camogie like the GAA.
Speaking to KCLR, Lillian says that well known GAA figures will be speaking about the pitfalls of dangers this evening.
She said “We don’t have a health and well being section in Camogie like the GAA do, but I thought it’s something that should we addressed so we have Justin Campbell who is an addiction counselor, he is also an ex Galway hurler, he played back in the 80s with Galway and we have John Leahy who is also an ex Hurler, a Tipperary man, I sat down with them recently to have a chat with them about what he is going to talk about on Friday night and he is such an interesting man”.
