England boss Eddie Jones has replaced the injured Henry Slade with Elliot Daly at outside centre for Saturday’s Six Nations clash with neighbours Ireland.

Daly will start in the position for the first time in almost five years as Slade is ruled out with a calf injury.

Joe Merchant is promoted to the bench having failed to make the matchday squad for England’s 23-20 victory over France last Saturday.

There are no further changes to the England side who staged a come-from-behind victory against the French at Twickenham. Max Malins once again starts at fullback, while Luke Cowan-Dickie is favoured ahead of Jamie George at hooker.
