Evergreen A Manager Gary Maher says that playing Evergreen B is something that they have been well used to.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s KCLR McCalmont Cup Quarter-Final clash, Gary says that coming up against their B counterparts on Sunday won’t be and was never a problem.
He said “We train together a lot I suppose on Friday nights, same time and the same pitch, everything on Friday nights, but generally midweek, we train separately on Tuesday nights, we both have separate squads and I suppose the way the fixtures have fell this week that we are playing each other twice, there is not that there, but we know each other very well, we are all one club, we are all one group of people”.
“Sometimes they are not easy fixtures, but they are fixtures that we have to get on with them, we have been in this position a number of times over the last number of years because they are a Premier Division Club, as a club we have managed the situation very well, everyone crosses that white line, they all want to their best for their equal squads, the A and the Bs together and just so we walk and whatever the result is that we all get on at the end”.
