Evergreen Manager Gary Maher says they will be taking nothing for granted against Fort Rangers in Saturday evening’s KCLR McCalmont Cup Final.

Speaking to KCLR, Gary says they are well aware of the potential Fort Rangers have having previously played them in the Cup Final.

He said “If anyone that remembers that this time ten years ago, Evergreen and Fort Rangers played in the McCalmont Cup Final as well, and Evergreen would have been expected to win that day too, but the match ended up 1-1 and it ended up going to a penalty shoot-out which Evergreen won”.

“Fort Rangers won’t thank me for saying this, but Fort Rangers let Evergreen off the hook that day and they should have won and they should have won the McCalmont Cup so we won’t be taking anything for granted come Saturday evening”.
