It’s another bumper weekend of action on KCLR with five live games in the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship and League and reports on the final round in the JJ Kavanagh and Sons Kilkenny Junior Hurling League.
Our first live commentary of the weekend sees two strong sides in the form of Rower Inistioge and Young Irelands go head-to-head in the first round of the championship.
Adrian Ronan and Eddie Doyle will be calling all the action from St John’s Park with that clash throwing in at 2.30pm.
At 5pm, Aidan Fogarty will join Adrian Ronan in Thomastown to commentate on the tie between 2021 junior champions Mooncoin and 2022 junior champions Blacks and Whites.
We’ll have reports from Conahy Shamrocks’ encounter with O’Loughlin Gaels in the first relegation semi-final of the weekend from 5pm in Muckalee.
On Sunday, David Byrnes and Brian Dowling will be based in UPMC Nowlan Park for the shield final between St Martin’s and Dunnamaggin at 12.30pm and the league decider between Thomastown and Lisdowney at 2.45pm.
The final game of the weekend sees Carrickshock and Fenians face off in the second relegation semi-final at 5pm in St John’s Park with Martin Quilty and Mark Dowling behind the mic.
Before all of that, there are six games in the JJ Kavanagh and Sons Kilkenny Junior Hurling League on Saturday at 2pm.
With places still up for grabs, we’ll be across all the action throughout the afternoon.
There will also be updates on the Junior D and Junior C County finals that take place in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday.
