Former Kilkenny Senior hurler Eddie Brennan says Sunday’s trip to Salthill will be the most testing environment that the young lads will have faced so far.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s game, Eddie says it’s going to be a daunting task to even get a result.
“Your going into the All-Ireland Champions back yard and it’s going to be probably the most testing environment a lot of these guys have faced.
“Winning a League is one thing it’s positive, but ultimately Championship is a different animal and I think particularly when you are going taking on the All-Ireland Champions.
“These are the kind of matches that test lads, these are the matches as a player you want to be getting so I think it’s going to be a big ask for Kilkenny to get something out of this match.
“They are probably going to have to perform at the highest level at this stage of the year,” he said.
