Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler Aidan Fogarty says it’s lazy journalism what recent newspaper articles have been saying about Brian Cody.

Speaking to KCLR just before Kilkenny’s game against Clare, Aidan says that Brian is still instilling the same hunger as he always did into the current squad…

“Yeah, I think it’s ludicrous, it’s kind of maybe lazy journalism at this stage and I think over the years, they are so sick about writing about Brian Cody and how brilliant he is and how brilliant Kilkenny are”

“It’s probably another angle for him now and they are delighted to have something else maybe different about it, but I was down in Cork last weekend and the one thing that stood out for me, the result didn’t go that way but there was a fight, and there was a determination and a hardiness and a grit in the team and that’s coming from Brian Cody which means his hunger is definitely still there, and he is driving that into the players and he still wants to win as much as he can so it’s ludicrous to say”

“I just think it’s lazy journalism there and it’s just another way out to write an article there and just make a headline”
