Former Wexford Senior Hurler Tom Dempsey says that Kilkenny will take a lot from their narrow victory in Dublin last Sunday.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of this weekends Championship action, Tom says that having Paul Murphy and Colin Fennelly back has strengthened their cause.
“To come out of Parnell Park last week, with 5 minutes to go, you would have said that the game was over that Dublin had it won.
“I think it was a tribute to Kilkenny and also their subs I mean, to be able to throw in Colin Fennelly who came in with three points and he is going to be a big asset to them in the Championship.
“I actually thought Paul Murphy stabilized the defence very very nicely when he came in as well so the Kilkenny Team is just settling in at the moment.
“I’d say they would be very very relieved to win last Sunday, but they have to get a lot of credit for coming back and nipping it at the end.
“You never have them beaten, they have a lot of work to do, but I think last Sunday’s result will have brought them on no end, there is no doubt about it,” he said.
