Both France and Scotland have made changes to their teams ahead of the final Six Nations game of 2021 in the Stade de France on Friday night.

The mercurial Finn Russell returns for Scotland at fly-half after a brief lay-off due to concussion and leads a Scottish side that will be without a number of their English-based players.

Ali Price makes up the second part of the out-half pair, while Chris Harris and George Turner start at centre and hooker respectively.

Gregor Townsend was forced into picking a maximum of five of his English-based players due to a deal with the Gallagher Premiership. This match falls outside the Test period as it was pushed forward due to a coronavirus outbreak in the French squad earlier in the campaign meaning club rugby takes precedence over the international game.

Romain Ntamack comes into the French side for Friday’s game and in doing so makes his first start of this year’s Six Nations Championship.

The leading points scorer in the 2020 Six Nations, Ntamack replaces the injured Matthieu Jalibert at number ten.

There is a new look second-row with Bernard Le Roux and Swan Rebbadj coming into the side. The remaining two changes see flanker Anthony Jelonch and centre Arthur Vincent start for Fabien Galthie’s team.

France must secure a bonus-point win by 21 points or more to become champions for the first time since 2010. If they fail to win by the required amount, Wales will win the Six Nations for the second time in three years.
