Glenmore were first out against Eoghan Rua in the Junior Club All-Ireland Hurling Final on Sunday with full forward Alan Murphy hitting 2-2 – the two goals coming in the first half which helped them go in at half time 2-6 to 6 points ahead.

But Eoghan Rua fought back to within three points of Glenmore by the 37th minute, and Glenmore were still just three ahead with 10 minutes to go and the gap was down to two entering injury-time.

However, Glenmore held on to run out 2-8 to 12 point winners and ensure the return of the Junior Club All-Ireland title to Kilkenny.
