There was heartache for the Kilkenny Minors when they lost out to a strong Galway side by 3-14 to 12 points.
Speaking after the game Manager richie Mulrooney said the goals really made the difference.
He said “I said if we could just get a good start to the second half, we didn’t, they absolutely swarmed us in the middle third and they played a man deep to stop us making the runs through and the runs we made against Limerick so they really closed us down by playing more or less seven at the back”.
“We just found it hard to get any inroads and they got an absolutely brilliant goal in the second half, a really class goal so you know 3-14 to 12 points, 17 scores to 12 but the goals really made the difference”.
