Bennettsbridge Senior Hurler Sean Morrissey has praised teammate Nicky Cleere for his free taking heroics against Rower Inistioge on Saturday.
The Bridge won the game by a point in the end, with Morrissey finding the back of the net.
And speaking to KCLR, Sean says they showed great character to come back from a sizable margin.
“We were eight points down in the first half and we have been there before when that has happened.
“It was great to come back and in fairness to Nicky Cleere he showed balls of steel at the end to score the crucial frees so fair play to him for that,” he said.
Bennettsbridge will now look to push on after making great progress from the Junior grade upwards from 2014.
