If you haven’t heard yet, Kilkenny are back in the All-Ireland SHC final following a three-year hiatus.
Brian Cody’s side advanced to the decider following a convincing 2-26 to 0-20 defeat of Clare in a largely one-sided semi-final.
That result coupled with Limerick’s victory over Galway means the Treaty and the Cats will go head-to-head on July 17th as both teams attempt to claim the Liam MacCarthy Cup.
In an effort to raise funds for the team ahead of a much-anticipated but costly period for Kilkenny GAA, the County Board have organised several events across the week that people can get involved in.
On Tuesday, the Gowran Park Golf Classic will take place. It’s €150 for a team of 3 players with multiple prizes on offer.
On Wednesday night, there will be a corporate dinner held at Langton’s. That comes in at €1,200 for a table of 10 people. There will be a guest speaker and manager Brian Cody will also be in attendance.
Fans are also urged to join the Kilkenny Supporters Club. Membership is €20 and the Supporters Club wagon will be open at UPMC Nowlan Park each day from 5.30pm.
There is a new initiative in place too in the form of a virtual run or walk. ‘Fun for Kilkenny’ encourages families to wear their Kilkenny gear and take some photos and send to [email protected].
