If you’re planning on golfing on St. Stephen’s Day, there may be some changes afoot.
Courses are allowed to remain open under Level 5 restrictions having been shut in previous lockdown periods this year.
The move to keep golf courses open also sees gyms remain open for individual training along with tennis clubs.
For golf, however, with restrictions changing to reduce the number of households who can mix plus an inter-county travel ban coming into effect on 27 December, some courses are bringing rules into play from St. Stephen’s Day.
These include restricting parties to golfers from no more than two households (in a three or four-ball setting) and a ban on visitors to clubs so they remain members only.
If you are planning a round of golf on Saturday and have visitors booked in, you may need to recheck with the club or course in question.
