Graigue Ballycallan have won the KCLR96FM and David Buggy Motors “Club of the Year” for 2018.

Ten local clubs made the shortlist and it went out to public vote over the Christmas and New Year break with the winner announced this morning.

They were Kilfane Handball Club, Kilkenny City Harriers, Callan Boxing Club, Kilkenny Storm, Tullogher Rosbercon GAA Club, Ballyhale Shamrocks, Dunnamaggin GAA Club, Evergreen FC and Kilkenny City Ladies Gaelic Football Club.

Graigue Ballycallan had a fantastic year winning the Kilkenny Intermediate title, the Leinster Final and now look forward to an All Ireland Semi Final later this month.

They also swept the boards in the U13 hurling and football schools Roinn A as well as the U21 Roinn B Championship.

In total, 11 cups came to the club over the year and two Roinn A camogie titles in U14 and U16.

Thomastown Camogie Club were 2017’s overall winners.
