Graigue-Ballycallan Intermediate Hurling Selector John Hoyne says not using possession as wisely as they should have proved costly in Saturday’s All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship Semi-Final defeat to Charleville.
John told KCLR Sport they they shot a number of sloppy wides in the first-half which had an effect.
“It was point for point up till they got the goal and I think that put them five up and that was a fair gap in a tight match and it looked a slobbery oul goal that it could have been cleared”.
He said “I don’t want to see it again anyhow (Charleville goal), but we had probably hit a few balls in the first-half, sloppy oul wides, every wide is a bad wide, there was a few of them kind of hairy fairy long range instead of letting it into the inside lads and probably the small bit of cuteness on their side probably told in the end”
