Henry De Bromhead says the deteriorating ground conditions have influenced the decision not to enter the Cheltenham Champion Chase winner Special Tiara in Saturday’s featured event in Gowran Park.

Henry has two entered for the Champion Steeplechase on Saturday, and speaking to KCLR, he says not running as hoped on Saturday has messed up plans somewhat.

“Yeah, it’s unfortunate, it’s just the ground is gone against him so we were thinking of entering him, but then we decided not to enter him when he saw the ground and the forecast.

“I would imagine it will either be the two mile Chase at Cheltenham in November or the Fortria Chase at Navan.

“I am just not sure yet, we will see where we will get the better ground and we will just see, it has made a bit of a mess to the start to his season with the ground sadly,” he said.
