The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board is conducting its hearing into the Gordon Elliott photo controversy around now.
The Meath trainer has faced calls for a ban after he sat on a dead horse and took a phone call at his gallops.
He has since lost sponsors and has seen horses such as Envoi Allen and Quilixios moved from his yard and is unlikely to have any runners at the Cheltenham Festival, which gets underway on March 16th.
Elliott has apologised and is believed to be co-operating fully with the disciplinary process.
He is currently barred from saddling runners in Britain by the BHA, pending the result of Friday’s hearing.
The Referrals Committee of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board is scheduled to convene on Friday 5th March to hear evidence and consider an investigation relating to Mr. Gordon Elliott (Trainer).
