Carrickshock manager Tommy Shefflin says that Brian Cody will in no way be affected by Ger Loughnane’s article in yesterday’s Star Newspaper in which the former Clare manager said that Brian Cody should step down.

Speaking to KCLR, Tommy says that not too much will be read into what Ger had to say.

“Ger Loughnane and Cody go back a long way. He seems to be always having a dig at Cody so people are not going to read too much into what Ger Loughnane has to say, that’s only Ger Loughnane. I’d say he has nothing else to do and he comes up with these things on the paper just trying to get a reaction from Kilkenny, but I don’t think he is going to get a reaction from Cody, Cody will just brush it off and that’s all the Star want’s to do is people to buy papers, is to talk about Ger Loughnane and Brian Cody, but I don’t think Brian Cody is going to be too bothered over that”
