Former Kilkenny Hurler Eoin Larkin says the current injury situation will have a big effect on the team in this years Championship.

Joey Holden, Eoin Murphy, Conor Delaney, Cillian Buckley, Richie Hogan and James Maher are all missing this weekend as they get ready to face Dublin in Nowlan Park.

Eoin says Kilkenny are missing players in some key positions and that Dublin are a much improved side and will be dangerous.

He said “Its going to have a huge effect, firstly id say when Conor Delaney got injured, Brian Cody thought that he’d slot Joey Holden straight back in but we’ve heard that Joey is out with a hamstring injury, so it will be interesting who be plays at full back and also Cillian Buckley at centre back is gone for the foreseeable future and they’re two pivotal positions, it will be interesting to see who Brian puts in there”.
