IT Carlow hurler Niall Brassil has been named on the Electric Ireland Higher Education hurling team of the year.
The Kilkenny/James Stephens player is part of a list of 15 stand-out performers from this season’s Higher Education hurling Championships.
IT Carlow teammate Podge Delaney who hurls for The Harps, Laois is also on the list.
This season, UL claimed their seventh Fitzgibbon Cup with a last gasp victory over NUIG.

The Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Rising Stars Football Team of the Year will be unveiled on Monday, 21st March, with the Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Rising Star Hurling and Football Player of the Year announced on April 4th.
