St. Mullins Senior manager PJ Delaney says that they have improved since their defeat to Sunday’s opponents Mount Leinster Rangers in the first round of the Senior League.

Speaking to KCLR, PJ says the team have been working hard since that game.

“Yeah, that first match against the Rangers probably really showed what they are about and they probably showed the quality they have all around the field and the scoring power they have. They have a hell of a lot of experience their down through the years.

They are a really quality team and obviously we kind of had to improve at that stage because it wasn’t good enough the first day, and we did slowly but surely make some improvements and still a bit to go but we are getting there. It’s always about the team. That’s what it is. We are just trying to work as hard as we can. That’s what it comes down to because without that you have nothing else.

Doesn’t matter how much skill you have, but if your team are working hard and everyone is working for another, then things start happening”

We’ll have live commentary, analysis and reaction to this Sunday’s Carlow Senior Hurling Final between St. Mullins and Mount Leinster Rangers at Netwatch Cullen Park with a 3.45pm throw-in, all with thanks to Affidea.ie – nothing is more important than health.
