Dicksboro GAA juvenile chairman Fergal Murphy joined us recently on Scoreline to look back on a season that brought with it the Under 15, Minor, and Under 19 county titles.

At the minor level, a late victory was secured by a single point against the Village to win the minor title yet again in dramatic circumstances. The Under 19 final brought a six-point win against James Stephens again. While the under-15’s, the Dicksboro team was once again successful against The Village at the final stage. Speaking of the minor final, Fergal outlined how much that victory meant to the club;

“There were old men crying their eyes out. The sweetest ones are the ones you are not expected to win. We had a very mixed league performance, the boys just did not do themselves justice throughout the league. Things were not looking as rosey towards the end of the championship.”

“I do not think anyone gave us too much of a chance against The Village, they are a super team. It was one of the best days in my time as Juvenile chair.”
