The Clara man says SETU showed grit and determination to see out the game.
“It was savage to get over the line. We knew coming up we were under big pressure, considering they were at home.”
“We knew going in at half time, even though we would be against the wind in the second half, if we could keep it tight, the fact we were drawing at half time, we thought we could push on in the second half. The goals made all the difference.”
The remaining Quarter Finals take place this evening as University of Galway host SETU Carlow at six o’clock, UCC welcomes ATU Galway at seven and UCD travel to defending champions UL at seven forty-five.
The games in Galway and Limerick are both being streamed live on the Electric Ireland YouTube Channel and website.
