O’Loughlin Gaels Junior Hurling Captain Sammy Johnstone says that Sunday’s County Final victory over Conahy Shamrocks will bring on the squad immensely.

As a result of Sunday’s victory, O’Loughlin Gaels will now compete in next years Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship and speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s County Final, Sammy says a welcoming headache awaits for both the Senior and Intermediate Managements.

He said “Yeah, it will be a test for the management next year, the Seniors and the Intermediates, I am sure they will have headaches picking teams”.

“It brings on these players some amount so yeah, up with the big boys now so hopefully we can stay up there for as long as possible anyway”.
