Former Republic of Ireland International Karen Duggan says the Ladies Soccer World Cup has come at a perfect time to raise the profile of the game.
Speaking to KCLR on Saturday Scoreline, Karen says it’s been a wonderful tournament.
She said “It’s been brilliant, it’s been brilliant that it has been broadcast on the two channels so we have been able to watch all the nations where we maybe haven’t seen them before, it’s been a fantastic showcase so far”.
“There has been a big push in the Media lately for that kind of equality across the board in all sports and the World Cup has come at a perfect to raise the profile of the Soccer game”.
